Here are the five reasons why we should avoid using smartphones and unplug every once in a while :
1) Smartphones are dangerous toys :
Cutting yourself off from the people doesn't mean you ignore them. It means you respect your time and privacy. Look. Smartphones are dangerous toys. They are addictive. And the truth is, most of the things we get addicted to, destroy us. Life is full of little things that give off radiance and joy. But we ignore them on the way. Because we were looking at our phones instead of savouring the moments.
2) Get Some "Me" time :
Just look around and see how people are pretty blind and negligent when it comes to taking care of their spiritual health. Most people are so idiotic that they don't even know what it means to have a halthy amount of emotional intelligence or spiritual quotient. They just walk around, wasting their time. People suck, basically. Because their vibes are depressing. Have you ever gone to some Indian Railway Station and noticed how exhausting it is to just sit and wait for the trains? I have experienced it. Waiting rooms induce fatigue, both mental and physical. Therefore, I urge you to go away for a while. Listen to some peaceful music. Go somewhere where you, as Rumi says, attain PEACEFUL JOY. And then come back with more life and joy.
3) Internet Addiction reduces your intelligence.
Yup. It's a scientific fact. Depend too much on Google and you will lose your brain. It is pretty obvious. See how ironical it is. We are living in an era where you get any sort of information in a blink of an eye. Everything is available at your fingertips. We are bombarded by informations from everywhere. Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Google +, Pinterest, Reddit, Wikipedia, Linkdn and so on. So many online platforms. So many distractions. Our minds get bogged down in this huge sea of information and knowledge. We need a little control. We need to restrain ourselves a little. Be selective in what and how you receive information. It all affects your subconscious mind, eventually. Be a guardian of your mind. Take charge of what comes to you. You don't wanna get headaches and migrain.
4) There are many more important things.
I mean. Come on. Cut the bullshit. You have books to read. You have movies to watch. You have time to go out into the woods and ponder over your life's priorities. You have some good friends to have fun with. You have many beautiful places and people you haven't met. The cosmos is infinitely beautiful and beautifully infinite. And you are totally miserable if you are just stuck in a single place.
5) Disconnect yourself to bounce back with more joy and clarity.
Trust me. Clarity gives strength. And clarity gives joy too. And joy is contagious. And in this manner, you do the world a service if you stay away from smartphones every once in a while. Boom! The entire human philosophy explained in a single passage!
