HOW TO LIVE A HAPPY LIFE IN THIS ERA Of PHONES AND GADGETS.

How to live a happy life in this age of gadgets, social media and instant culture .

Mahatma Gandhi said,"There is more to life than increasing its speed. "   That guy. He was a genius.

We all know that we live in an era of phones and tablets and computers. The world has become flat. Everything is accessible.  Any sort of information is available at our fingertips. The world is now a big global village. But the truth is, we have never been so distant, so withdrawn, so melancholic, so cut off from ourselves.  We have reached moon and Mars and other heavenly bodies. And we continue to do so. But we think twice to step out of our homes to talk to our neighbours.  Call me old-fashioned. We are really spiritually dead. People are just sleepwalking through their lives, doing nothing, just sitting around, looking lost and then eventually ending up in a pile of dust.

So, here is what we should do, pals. We shouldn't be the part of the problem.  We should be the part of the solution, right?  That is what they say. Remember?

Okay. Alright.  I have three things to say :

1) Clarity gives strength.

Now, that is something.  If you are not mentally clear, life, as you know it, becomes totally chaotic.  The world becomes an enigma.  And trust me. If you don't know yourself, everything you do and everything you say, is a lie. A big fucking lie. Know yourself. Do some soul-searching. Or introspection.  Or anything.  Do SWOT analysis.  Everything else is secondary. Read books. Go somewhere.  Watch movies.  Look around.  Just find out who you are. Everybody has got some positives and negatives.  You should know about yours. And if you don't, then your life is not worth living. Is it? Ask yourself. Right now. Like right now.

2) Stay Inspired .

Make it a duty to stay inspired and happy. Do something that makes you feel alive. Something that speaks to you. Something that excites your spirit.

In order to stay inspired, people read inspirational books. Many people listen to music.  Many people just travel around, visitng new and different places. Many people watch movies.  Many people watch porn. It doesn't matter what you do. It never has. The main point is, you should be full of life. Full of joy and freshness.  Never ever lose the child-like innocence and the sense of awe and wonder within you. Never. Ever. Because if you do, what is the point of living?

I was watching a beautiful Hungarian movie called Damnation the other day. In a particular scene, the heroine says to the her lover," I don't let others drag me down. One must return to beauty.  Rediscover life again. The joy of great things. The taste of victory and success. "

That movie.  ❤☺

3) Follow Your Bliss.

While reading a book called "A Better India, A Better World" by N. R. Narayan Murthy, I stumpled upon a line that screamed out," FOLLOW YOUR BLISS."  To be honest with you, I didn't understand it a bit.

It went over my head.

But then, I came across this one-liner by that beautiful actress, Nicole Kidman. And Oh My God! This line is so profound.  Check it out.

"You've got to follow your bliss, because if you can do that, everything else falls into place.

"....everything else falls into place."

She Nailed It!

Therefore, whenever life seems complicated, whenever things don't make any sense, always try to stay happy or inspired or give up everything and follow your bliss. Remember. " Pain is inevitable. But suffering is optional.
